BELLATA STREET
An exceptional modern design from Tim Stewart Architects, recently completed in The Gap. This collaboration consisted of a brief of connected spaces with separate private retreats. The home is wrapped in white mahogany shiplap timber with various colored stains. Internally a mixture of polished concrete and warm timber tones founder the neutral finishes.

This Alexandra Road project is a shining example of how visionary design and high ambition have the power to transform a space. Shaun Lockyer Architects came on board with Black Developments and turned what was once a 12-bedroom boarding house into a true architectural masterpiece.

A BOLD CONCEPT
Personifying a bold and modern style, this two-storey split-level home is set to truly stand out from its neighbours. The striking Shaun Lockyer Architects-designed project is currently underway on Bennison Street in the character precinct of Ascot.
CRASE STREET
EVERY CONCEIVABLE LUXURY
Perched amongst rolling hills and lush greenery of New Farm, Crase Street is modern living at its finest. This project was the result of the combined dream of Matt and Caitlyn Lancashire alongside Channon Architects. The house showcases the shared determination for excellence between its owners, designers and builder.
LARISSA STREET
MID-CENTURY PALM SPRINGS MODERNISM
This high-set house located in the quiet outer northern suburbs of Brisbane has made quite the impression, with its distinct style earning it the 2018 AIA Brisbane Regional Award. Typical of its style, the primary upper floor living areas were disconnected from the yard, whilst under the house was not at a legal height for habitable rooms – challenges our team wholeheartedly took on. This is an exciting new house design for inspiring clients, with decorative brick, hovering roofs, light-filled spaces and mid-century Palm Springs modernism colliding in Geebung, Brisbane.
HEBE STREET
Set in one of the most prestigious streets in leafy Bardon, this architectural collaboration has been crafted to last the ages for an active family with a love of entertaining. This prominent yet private home is set on an expansive 741sqm parcel of land and has been completed to the most exacting detail courtesy of a dream partnership between DAH Architecture and Black Developments. Committed to perfecting both design and form, no sacrifice has been made in creating a family residence that offers absolutely everything on even the most demanding of wish lists.
BOWLER STREET
The team at Black Developments will never shy away from a challenge, which is why we were thrilled by the opportunity to rejuvenate this classic Paddington Queenslander. The aim was to keep the original character and charm of the home while adding a twist of modern finishes and details, while working around the tricky foundations of a 690-square-metre sloping block. A 10-metre-long custom glass roof and impeccable blackwood veneer joinery are just some of the standout features on this impressive project.
